Toy story should be on this list because it was an amazing movie. As i was watching it, it was really interesting and appealed to me as  a kid who loved to watch cartoons. Though i think it should be ranked a lot higher than 99. But it was a really good movie at its time. It was on tv a lot bakc then and whenever it was on i watched it because i really found it as a great movie.

My Favorite Films

My favorite movie that i think should be one of the greatest movies is of all times is Jurassic Park. It’s a movie where when i first saw it, it blew my mind. It had me interested in the movie because at the time technology wasn’t as great and the effects they had on the movie was intrigueing.  The movie that i really liked was Dodgeball a true underdog story. It was a hilarious comedy which had me laughing throughout the movie. One of the funniest movies i’ve ever seen and I watch a lot of comedies. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364725/

The future of computing and life?

A new device like this tablet computer would piques everyones interest. Just like the mac,ipods and iphones most of the products that come out of Apple are usually popularly bought by many. This tablet computer sounds like a new way to be on the internet anywhere you want. Basically it’s a touch screen laptop and hey we all know how everyone likes touch screens. With all the applications that apple has out for the iphone there would be ton’s more for their new tablet computer. This would be very popular but the price would probably range in the thousands. Even with that people would still buy it. In my opinion i give this tablet computer 2 thumbs up.

Response to Shorter Summer Vacation

In my opinion longer school days would not be a good idea. First of all how much would it cost more to have more schooldays to the school. We are already having enough problems with the economy why would we need more when we add more school days which require more money. Yes students in asian countries have better scores but they put more emphasis in there teaching  methods in math and science. Also during summer vacation many students get jobs in which they have a learning experience. Would you take that away from the students by cutting the days in summer. Summer vacation is a tradition why would you shorten it.

This week i updated the forensic and the cross country schedules on the danville high school calender. Then i checked over them to see if i made any mistakes and if i made any mistakes i went to fix them. After those were done the calender was up to date from the schedules we were given. I checked my emails to see if any teachers responded back to me for the emails that i asked about their webpages. When that was done i was made to do errands by Mr. Meadows to get english supplies and give them out to the other english teachers.

Goals for this Week

My goals for this week is to finish updating the forensics and cross country schedules to the school calender. I will also be checking over the calender to make sure there arent any mistakes. Then if there are i will be fixing them.

Response to Justice Cunningham.

Highschools usually emphasize on on college prep but some people don’t always go to college. I agree with the article saying that we shouldn’t tell kids to go to college because it will help you in life because that isn’t always true. Going to college costs lots of money and a lot of people will end up having to get loans just to pay it off. Even if you go to college to major in something you really enjoy you may not get a job in that area. So instead of pushing students to just go to college, try to push them in a direction where they will be better off. Yes people will still go to college but if you keep trying to push them they will be just the people who go to college because everyone else is going. Our school should just keep doing what it is currently doing. It doesnt force students to go to college but it helps inform us just incase we do want to do.

I have been updating the Calender these past 3 days. I worked on posting the Boys’ Soccer, Golf, Football, and part of the Forensics team on the calender. I also emailed Athletics or Organizations editors the schedules that we currently have. I also skimmed through the calender today to see if there was errors in it and fixed the errors on the boys’ soccer game schedules.

I agree with this article because it states many good points about the internet, parents, and the teenagers who use it. It states that older people tend to dislike the internet because they like how the old days use to be where they used pencils and pens to write a paper instead of word. This article also says that teenagers start knowing less about history and other school subjects and start going on the internet to update their profiles on their social network. It also says that the older generations think that teenagers don’t read or write enough but they actually do when they are on the internet chatting or reading peoples comments or updating their profiles. I also agree with the last paragraph which states that we should start using the internet to teaching teenagers more about history and other school subjects.

Two Websites to Consider

http://www.lincoln.kyschools.us/ As soon as you open the lincoln county school page there is alot more text to read. The text shows what’s happening in the school. It also looks like it gets more updates too. That would be a good idea for our school to get people to stay on the webpage longer. http://www.cabarrus.k12.nc.us/hrhs/ Hickory Ridge High School has some interesting things on there page. For the links on the side they have they use a drop down scroll thing which lets them choose what they want to click to which page. That would be a good idea for our page to look a lot more cleaner. On there right hand side of there page they have a calendar there for upcoming events where you can scroll down to which date you want to see i also think that would be a good idea for our school.
